If you’re a busy mom like me, you spend your fair share of time in the grocery store. Between the bribing, negotiations and tantrums, it’s one errand I could really do without. I find myself wondering all the time why every business doesn’t have a drive-through. There’s nothing like having your toddler fall asleep in the car before you finish your errands. The story of my life. So I am forever looking for ways to simplify my to-do list. You have no idea how thankful I am to live in the age of online shopping. After some of the stunts my children have pulled, I feel like shopping online is a public service, so your welcome. Recently I got to try out a new service and mamas, it is a game changer.
Walmart Grocery Pickup. Did you read that last beautiful little word? PICKUP. As in you get online at your convenience, shop for all your household groceries, schedule a pickup time to fit in your busy schedule, show up at said time and voila, your groceries are loaded right into your car! It is a beautiful thing. I had to give it a try!
I started out ordering my groceries right on my phone. I logged onto Walmart.com/grocery and they make it super duper easy to find and select what you need. I rocked a wiggling two-year-old while I shopped and selected the next afternoon to pickup. I really like that they keep track of what you usually order so you can quickly select the items you always buy. For me, it’s the produce like bananas and apples and of course, I always have to have milk on hand. It makes reordering really quick, my kind of grocery shopping!
I got a call about 10 minutes before my scheduled time to let me know my groceries were ready. Y’all, someone else shopped for my groceries while I ran other errands. It’s like having a personal shopper, it was amazing! When we pulled into the Walmart parking lot, there were signs posted to let me know exactly where to go.
When I pulled into the parking spot designated to the online grocery pickup, I called the number on the sign to let them know I was there. There was plenty of room and I did not wait long.
The sweetest woman named Tina came out with my goodies! I ordered all my usual supplies like toilet paper, cleaners, and baby wipes and also all my meat and fresh produce for snacks and dinners for the week.
Tina was so kind, she had all of my groceries bagged perfectly (all the similar items bagged together) and ready to go. She brought them to the car and loaded them up for me.
How awesome is that?! She shopped for me, brought them out to my car and loaded my car, for free! I really just wanted to take Tina home! If only all my mom jobs could be this easy! I did not even have to get out of the car!! I did, just to see the entire process but I could have literally sat in my car if I wanted to! And just have a look at what my wild little toddler did while I did my grocery shopping.
A napping toddler while my grocery shopping was done, it doesn’t get any better. The whole process, start to finish,was done in minutes and there are no hidden fees. Everything I ordered was the same low price as in the store and they guarantee your shopper will pick the freshest produce available or you get your money back!
As if someone else shopping for my groceries wasn’t enough, I got a free gift bag filled with goodies and fresh flowers for being a first-time pickup customer. I can not say more about how pleasant my experience was, I am so impressed. This is a game changer, I am a grocery hero. Well, maybe Tina is the grocery hero because she was awesome.
